Hmmm top speed is great... i've done Apeldoorn - Berlin last week... 450 km of stretching almost empty autobahn (there was a "fahrverbot", which means no trucks allowed on the road)
I love the sound of that speed, some complain, but i just love the sound and feeling of going fast without risking other peoples lives...

I would think the larger wheels would having something to do with your top speed as well, the larger diameter. My old 89 turbo cavalier (when it was stock) topped out at 121mph with stock 14" wheels. With the 16" wheels I put on it topped out at 126mph. With the turbo and new ECU, it did 142mph! 
Anyways, good run! Hopefully I'll get the chance to top it out too. My 350Z still has only 1800 miles on it though.....Damn my 5 mile commute to work!!!

Open freeway= lots of fun. I would have done the same, sadly I haven't experienced that situation in SoCal with my Z. The car I gave up for the Z however, an S14SR, I had a few instances where the freeway was open and clear..... some of the best adrenaline rushes I've had to date
