Default crazy crash

I saw a poor 350z crash last night right in front of me. Thank god he lived but what a dumb ***.

I was leaving the gas station near my house around 930 pm and pulled out behind another Z, the bronze colour. We were driving down a 2 lane road with houses on both sides. I caught up to him right after we made the turn (on to the two lane road) and he mashed the gas and took off.

I let him go i wasnt about to do 80 down that road about 350 ft up he dropped his passenger rear tyre onto the shoulder and started to lose it. He was at least doing 75 when he lost it, and heading into the ditch on the side of the road. If he was a better driver he might have been able to save it but he over corrected and took out a power pole with the passenger side. When he hit the pole there was a incredible sound and the tranformer poped killing all the lights on the street. The pole was broken into 2 pieces and hanging in the road. The wreckage was intense. By the time i arrived at the scene maybe a min later there were people comming out of their houses and at the car. Thank god i didnt follow that dumb *** down the road or who knows what would have happned. I saw them take him away in an ambulance it looked like he broke at least one leg and an arm and the car was destroyed.

I bet he feels like a dumb *** right now.

Did he have a tire blowout or was this just a case of incredibly bad driving?

Although it was stupid, I hope everything was okay. Did you at least go over there and try to help, or were you a dumbass for just watching it all happen, and thinking that kid felt like a dumbass?

By the time i got to the accident site people we already there so i left. I have a history of street racing so i didnt want to get caught up with the cops plus im on probation and any time i speak with a cop i have to report it to my probation officer and im probation for something racing related. I would have stayed to help but everything was under control.

No, he didnt blow the tyre he just needs driving lessons and a new car now.

You were folling him and saw it happen yet people beat you to the accident scene? I'm not saying there is more to the story, but it wasn't cool to leave like that IMO.

Well if you read the orginal post you will see that i let him go when he decided to show off and when i saw him swerve he was way up the road form me all i could really see were his break lights swerving and hear the noise of the crash, of course i slowed way down at that point. I saw his lights way to far over when i guess he caught the shoulder. The speed limit on the road was 35 and i only hit 40 when he left me. There are houses along the street and people from the houses were only 10 ft away from the accident site and were at the car when i creeped past. It was only 930 and people were in their front yards enjoying the weather. I know it would have been better to stop but with my past and people already on the scene i decided it was in my best interst to leave it up to them. If there was no one else on the scene and we were not in metro atlanta but in the country i would have.

Crazy story man. I hope the guy was alright. Im not following you 100% though. So you were far enough back to see the tail lights right and hear the crash. People go running towards him, you creep by and dont want to stop because of your past driving history right, well im just curious how you saw him on a back board going into the ambulance if you had already crept by and left the scene right after it happened. Was there an ambulance sitting next to the pole waiting for him to crash and then in the 1-2 min it toook you to roll on scene already had him on a back board. Please clarrify. I love to get a good mental picture in my head of these stories on this forum. Thanks, BEN

I'm raising the BS flag on this one:

Like other have noted:::

"I saw them take him away in an ambulance it looked like he broke at least one leg and an arm and the car was destroyed".

Ahhh, if you left the sceene right away then how did you see this?

Also, you must have super human eyesight and hearing. You were at least 1km away...If you were gong 40mph and it took you a minute to get there.

Busted!!!!

Bro,

you did the right thing. People were there, he was ok. You, like me, having legal issues, it was best that you took off. I would have done the same. If we were all alone, I would have forced myself to stop and help him, call police, or get a neighbor.

When you're already in trouble, on probation, its best keep the lowest profile possible.
