Default How Bad Did You Miss Your Z???

I just got my Z a month ago and some idiot backed into me. To make a long story short he blamed it on me. Now he is denying my claim so its comming out of my Insurance policy. It sucks how dishonest some people are, but that's life and I can except that. Anyway, my Z has been in the shop now since Monday, and I can't wait to get her back. I see you guys talking about your Z's and posting pics...it's killing me . Anyway, have any of you guys ever felt this way? I mean I have trouble sleeping sometimes...Maybe if she wasn't so new it wouldn't be so hard. I'll post the before and after pics. Hopefully the paint matches .

Sorry about the mis-fortune, and the dishonesty of those people.
I totally feel you, as I got into an accident 2 months ago. Me and the Z has been seperate ever since, and miss every minute I have spent with her. Now 2 months has past and guess what....the body shop told me it's totaled!!!
WTF...2 months after it's been in the body shop and it's totalled..That body shop is such a joke.
Hope you get her back ASAP and good luck dealing with body shops.

Sometimes I don't drive my Z for a week. When I finally get back into her, I feel so good. And I really open her up.

Ever since my ex-wife wanted me to get rid of the Z and get a 4-dr sedan for our daughter, I kept wishing that I had kept the Z and just bought a 2nd car to take my daughter in. It has been 6 months now, and every time I see a Z go by, I just reminisce about the good ole days when I had my Redline and smile . This is not to say that I don't thoroughly enjoy my 340HP sedan . It's a great car, but not in the same category as the Z.

My car was in the shop since mid December having my stereo (audio/video) installed. Finally got it back May 1st. Drove it for a week to get my fix and back to the shop it goes to have more things installed. Will be in there for another 2 weeks. Bought the car in June of last year and only have approx. 4500 miles. First month of not having the car was difficult, but driving a '95 Celica to the ground is alot of fun.

Driving my Z is theraputic. When I was with out it for 2 month earlier this year I thought I was going to lose it. I'd go sit in the shop and glare at people. I think one day I started tearing up on the phone begging them to hurry it up. lol

Man...I guess I should'nt feel so bad. Some of you guys have it pretty bad, no offense. The thing I miss most is the throaty exhaust sound. Especially in the parking garage at my work when I pull in, in the morning...=(

I have been away from mine for a couple months as well. I will have to spend time with the wife and kids before I get to drive the Z. When I left it was in the garage but the house got tiled and it had to be moved outside. Now the garage is to cluttered and it cannot fit. My wife gets pissed when I tell her to clean it up and get the Z back in the garage. She tells me I can do it when I get home. Of course when I do she will tell me that I'm being selfish.
Anybody else get static from their significant other ( not the Z ) get upset cause you spend to much time on or with your Z?

I feel your pain man. My Z was rear ended for the second time in the 8 months I've had her. It's been at the bodyshop for 2 weeks now. I miss it soo much and keep worring about the bodyshop f*cking something up. They already tryed to give me the car with a sh*tty paint job and a poor fitting bumper. Hopefully I will get her back sometime next week in better condition.

They arrive on the 18th and I arrive on the 22nd. My girlfriend is going to be pissed when she sees me walk through the door and go right past her to the garage. lol Just kidding, Ill give her a hug and a kiss, then off to the garage. BEN

I was rearended a year ago and my car was in the shop for nearly 3 months. I had a Taurus, Corrolla and an Elantra. So, yes. I feel your pain.

I was out of my first Z for 2 1/2 months, I let my boy drive it the same night I got it and he wrecked it going around a turn on a wet road

After I got it back, I had it for a week and found the main engine seal was leaking oil so had to take it back and get that fixed, another month out of my car as the part was on backorder.

Next one of the main bolts in the suspension had somehow worked its way loose, another 3 weeks out of my car while the waited for the part to come in

Then the transmission started to go out, got it replaced under warranty but at that point it had been in the shop more than I dorve it and little problems kept coming up so I traded it on for a new one.
