I realize this is the wrong forum for this question but I need a quick response.
I have been having some grinding noise comming from the floor tranny area and wonder is it could be the starter. My question is, is the starter located in the vicinity of the back of the block. If it is I think my starter pinion gear isn't disengageing causeing the grinding noise.
This noise usually happens after a warm cool down start. I don't think it is the tranny since it still makes thenoise with the clutch in.
Anyone agree?
