Default 'splain something to me about "sig mods"?

Been a Z owner since December and been around this place for nearly as long. My real background is in domestics (old and new Mustangs - Shelby Cobras) but I'm into all cars... anyway I just don't get it here. Lot of guys with long lists in their signatures along the lines of...

MODz:
bada bling license plate frame
carbon faker shift ****
pleather shift boot
rain-x inside and out
radio shrek ground kit
superwhirl air freshner
10 coats of turtle wax

Sure I understand an FI listing in your sig, maybe an intake change, an exhaust upgrade, or something else of substance ... but if your "mods" are all stocked at Pep Boyz in one form or another you don't need to go advertising 'em.

This post reminds me of computer geeks sig lists? they are a page long, right down to the kind of blank discs they use

why are people listing misc accessories as mods? Mabey their just mocking or be sarcastic perhaps? or mabey stickers really do boost hp

Back to the issue, seriously, keep your sig clean so that we don't have to scrool down just because of your listing.

Some sigs can be a little wordy but who cares. You dont like it dont visit this website. Most people here put their mods whether it be what type of wax or air freshner or FI. Its just a quick way to share information. Its not a way to show how big your ***** are. I like looking at other peoples sig to get ideas of things to do to my car etc. Peace, BEN

Tenac1ousZ got it. I'm all for the info sharing for reasonable mods so people can figure out who to ask about a specific product or know if they are an experienced user when posting a reply ... but the license plate frame and the shift boot in some sigs really got me. Specially after the extra scrolling.

I used to not have anything down there except a nice pic of my car

here :

but since they took away sigpics, avatars and everything else in the board unless you pay they $26,945 for a membership ... I have resorted to listing the mods that I have spent some good $$$ on

I find some of the sig mods quite funny. I have tweeked my turbo air freshenr so I no longer have to dry my hair before leaving for work. By the way, whats a curb feller?

Actually, anything you change on your car is a mod (no not changing the oil). I see nothing wrong with it and actually did it until the sig limitation was imposed. Mostly just as sort of a log for myself. I could care less if anyone else likes it or reads it.

Your suggestion to limit mod list to FI mods & such just doesn't make sence to me. A mod of any kind is still a mod.

What irritates me is the guys with signatures 5 times longer than their average post.
