Red face After market tranny/clutch?

After reading the countless people posting tranny/clutch problems, Just wondering if anyone got fed up enough with Nissan's obvious design flaws and opt'd for after market tranny/clutch setups, can't seem to find any after market trannys but I would imagine there is some interest in them as a stock alternative...

Also anyone know if the g35 is plagued with such tranny issues? if not, will a g35 tranny fit the Z???
Just a thought, I'm definitely considering a 350z as a seasonal driver, looking to purchase in the next 5-6 months, Just want to make sure I have options if/when my tranny tanks - I'd rather have a reliable setup then have to hassle my dealer every XXXX miles for replacement what ever

tranny fails on 2003 models mostly, if you get a 04-up model you shouldnt have any problems. I'd recommend upgrading the stock, weak as p00p clutch, along with the flywheel.

your case might be an extreme, and realize that other people may drive it like a honda. the z has way more power and if you beat on it every day how lonng do you think the clutch will last? even if you have a very strong clutch depending on how you drive it you can burn it out in a weekend or two. beleive me the factory clutch, at least on the 03's are plenty beefy.
