Default Great experience with two vendors

I have had two great experiences with vendors that are not present on the forum as sponsors or posters. I would like to share my experience with the other forum users.

I ordered some NISMO parts from United Nissan of Georgia. First I went through a rather complicated process of writing down the part numbers for each part I wanted, then I looked them up in the online catalog, then I printed my cart out so I would have the reference in front of me. Then I called them. I did this because the web site said to call to get a shipping price, and also because all the parts were listed as "special order" and I was working under a time line, and would not order if the parts could not be shipped to the location needed (Ohio, I am in Kentucky) in time for install.

The internet sales person was very friendly, helpful, and when I told him the prices, he looked online in the specials area, confirmed all the prices, and gave me a shipping timeline that suited my needs. Shipping took place exactly as he had promised. Here is what I purchased:

NIMSO R-tune clutch cover $239
NISMO R-tune clutch disc $200
NISMO Lightweight flywheel $445
NISMO front and rear swaybar kit $370

Prices seem excellent to me, don't know if anyone else has these prices, but I was impressed. Here is the good part - they didn't shift the profit to shipping and handling like so many vendors!

Total shipping costs: $48 !

The other vendor was Stillen. They had a group buy on Tokico D-spec shocks, (not the kit with springs - just shocks). I did not call, I only used the online order form. I also ordered the engine dampner. I ordered on the last day of the group buy.

Price for Tokico D-sprec shocks $459.

Total shipping for both: $38.23

Now, I have seen on this board that people have posted about Stillen having bad customer service, etc. I honestly don't know. All I wanted was to order some parts that had the right price. I didn't need someone to hold my hand, tell me I am doing the right thing, overnight the set, or anything else. I had already researched suspension, had decided on these or Koni, and the price put me over the top for the Tokico D-spec. I did get a confirmation email stating the costs, etc, but no tracking number. There was an 800 number at the bottom for any questions regarding the order. As I did not have any reason for not waiting, I didn't call. Items showed up in 4 or 5 days, in perfect shape, as ordered. Great price, profit not shifted to shipping and handling, I can't ask for more.

I do not work for either of these companies, I have not told them I would post nor did they ask me to, I do not have a special relationship with either, in fact, I never talked to or even emailed Stillen. I just posted to make others aware that fair, honest vendors are out there who deal honestly with prices and shipping and handling. Makes purchasing easier, you don't have to check your back for the "shipping and handling" knife going in.
