I too am waiting to see if anyone will be our test pig on these. I'd like to see before and after dynos to see if it would be worth it.

Oh yeah, question from the bone-boy here. If you did install one of these intakes, and eventually go the way of F.I. (i.e. the supercharger that is in the works) at a later date, do you then remove the intake or do they go together. Thanks.

Thanks Scott.

I like the pic of your Brickyard in your sig line. It looks like you are parked next to a waterfall or something.

Speaking of Brickyards........Zaino layer number 19 slapped on today!

That really depends. For an S/C, you can actually leave the AEM intake alone; however, with a Turbo set up, you will most likely have to take it out.

Last time i checked.....

*In super simple terms*
If you have a belt driven SC (which they are) then you have an external pump which has a tube going to the intake side. Since THIS is occupying that space you have no where to put the AEM or Injen intake.

Now see what I started?

What I have read here is that cold air into the engine increases performance thus the CAI. If you go with a turbo or supercharger, isn't this still true? Do they (SC and TC's) use cold air intake in any way?

Check the Comptech S/C for the CL-S. I believe it's an Eaton design that comes with a "CAI"; actually, it's an "Ice Box". So, unless the S/C for the 350Z is a different design, a CAI can still be a part of the system.

We really should have started another thread, this is not helping my question at all

I want to get an Injen or AEM for christmas and need to know where I can get one. Strictly Z has been contacted but I have no response yet. Maybe Monday.

Who knows for certain that this is OUT for us?!

I say get the CAI, then when S/C comes out, see if CAI still can be modified to fit, if not, sell it to others that just want CAI. That's what I'm going to do.

Haven't seen the AEM CAI setup, but Injen looks good!
