Default too paranoid?

hi i just got my auto z like 2 weeks ago and has just about 300 miles on it. well today i was driving it around and i thought i was on manual mode, so as i start accelerating i shift up but as i didnt know it goes into neutral, the car revs into arond 5-6k and as im surprised i did a stupid move and put it back into drive. my tires spin and as so i get the spin light, so im just wondering if this really bad on a new engine or am i just too worried about it?

thanks

well it's not broken in yet but I wouldn't worry about it.

Just don't do it again

You're fine man. I wouldn't make it a normal practice, but the car isn't that fragile

What yorbi said.

A couple times shortly after buying the Zzzz I hit second thinking it was fourth & the revs went to the max for a fraction of a second. Startled the hell out of me but no damage.

I dunno man my friend did the exact same thing you did and his Z is still at the dealership. It's been there for over a month now, hehe just kidding .
I agree it'll be fine as long as you don't do it again. Here's a break in tip though vary your speed and shifting.
