overplayed Silverstone, but....
I know this topic has been discussed many times, but nothing else is going on, so here we go again. Yes, I ordered Silverstone. Just curious who saw the car (Scarermon). Are your pics a pretty accurate representation, or is the picture of the car of the freeway a better representation of the color...because the one of the freeway seems like it is very different from yours. Your pics depict a much lighter color with less of a green undertone then the freeway pics. Also, I am concerened that the Siloverstone will not reflect different shades in different light on the curves of the car that well. You know what, I think I am just going nuts waiting and that has caused me to overanalyze.

I agree
the lack of info on the silverstone caused me to change my order to chrome silver. And I used the color code info posted earlier to find a 2003 maxima in polished titaniumm, which is supposedly the same color. I really wasn't turned on by it. It looks dingy on a maxima. It has a underlying warm green to it. the chrome silver has a cooler value. thats just my opinion.

With the 350Z coming out, I was excited to order a silverstone so that I could get that "pewter" color but have been disappointed with the way it looks overall. Each time I went to look at the 350Z, I would go to the chrome silver and knew that it was the one I had to order. It just doesn't get old for me to see the chrome whereas I never really got excited about the silverstone.
My two pesos.

You can see the Silverstone color in person -- just go down to your local Nissan dealer and ask to see a Polished Titanium 2003 Maxima. It is color code WV2, same as 350Z's Silverstone.
I saw one a week ago and it looked very nice.

Also, to add another 2 yen to the pot, I think the Silverstone color is unique because it's chameleonic (is that a word?). It changes colors so to speak. It can look close to a light chrome silver in sunny direct light conditions, and it can look darker gray in lower light. Also, the color can vary when viewing from different angles or just the sculpted planes of the car's surfaces. That can be considered good or bad depending on your taste.

I like color variences as you can see the lines of the car much better. That is why the show car looked so good because in low light areas it was fairly dark, but was brighter then chrome when light hit it. You really noticed this on the fenders...But how do you know this about silverstone? have you seen it? All I know is that I have seen Scafermon's pics, the freeway pics and Nissans pic and I dont know which one is the real color because they all look like different colors to me. I will be really happy if the color is like Scafermon's pics or even Nissan's pic, but the freeway one is too dark and greeny. We do not have the Titanium Maxima here in Canada so I cant even look at a car with that color. Based on the pics from "build your 350Z" I figured it would just be a few shades darker then chrome silver, and that is what I see with Scafermon's pics. Here's to crossing my fingers 'till September.
