Default Service Engine Soon-Bad Fuel?

I've got about 24,000 miles on my 03-Z. Yesterday, had a little under a quarter tank so I stopped to get fuel. Put in like 4-5 Gal. As I drove away, it began to run really crappy. Mis-Fire...mostly at low RPM. When it idles, it's missing....so it's a little rough. Service engine soon light began to flash, and is now stays on. One of my assumptions is Bad Fuel. I put some "Heat" in tank to take care of any moisture, and I'm gonna run that fuel out before I fill up full with fresh fuel.
You guys think it's Bad Fuel, or did an Emissions or other type of sensor go haywire?

Cool

Hard to tell what the deal is, but bad fuel is a possibility. A few weeks ago in Houston a dozen or more drivers got bad fuel at a local station - some of them barely got off the station property before their cars quit. The preliminary report was water in the fuel.

In your case, if it was bad fuel it could have plugged the fuel filter with trash, or it could be water. Adding alcohol only works up to a point, then you get phase separation; without knowing how much water there is - if there is water - you might have to add more than a bottle of alcohol. The best solution is to drain the tank rather than drive, running trash or whatever through the fuel system. Pull a couple plugs and see what they look like. And don't get fuel at that station ever again!

After I refresh the Tank/Fuel, and possibly replace fuel filter, do ya think the "service engine soon light" will go off after a few daily trips?

I got a tank of water at a gas station once. The car made it about a mile and died. A check engine light never came on.

I filled back up with premium as usual and all came back to normal. Service Engine Soon light off, and it runs smooth again. I still have no other explanation than bad fuel. I am gonna change my fuel filter though.

Maybe your gas cap was not on tight enough. A loose gas cap will cause "Service engine soon" to come on. Tighten and after a few trips it will go off.
