Question Auto Tranny Power Handling

Hey how u all doin? I called the guys at Turbonetics for info. on their single turbo kit and a tech told me it wasn't recommended because of power handling limitations of the automatic tranny. Anybody else know if it's true? Stillen has this new upgrade for it http://www.stillen.com/Sportscars_de...d=47326&page=1 any thoughts?

If you got the info directly from Turbonetics, I don't see any reason why they would lie to you. Maybe you can ask them what was necessary to make the tranny compatible or what actually is limiting the power.

The tranny will make A LOT of heat with that much power. You'd need at least a very good tranny cooler and a valve body upgrade to start with.
