Thumbs up I love driving my car. Do you?

I get up in the morning, take a crap, shower, eat bacon, eggs and coffee, check email, then I feel compelled to dust off my car, and go for a drive. Even more so on the weekends.

I've never owned a car that has made me want to get in and drive it as much as this one. I don't mean anything horribly illegal either. Not doing 130mph on the freeways or street racing--I just love to cruise around.

I do love to drive the various back woods mountain twisties we have here in SOCAL. Especially the ones with passing lanes. Driving the car is just a blast.

I still get a huge s h i t t y grin on my face when I hear that Apex exhaust roar. My god, in a tunnel, it sounds like sex.

In fact, screw this typing s h i t, I'm heading out now--later!

This is the most fun car I have ever driven. I've had Supras and my last one was a 99 Eclipse GSX (all wheel drive) This Z (Touring 6sp) is the best for me so far.
It's beautiful also

Ya I love to drive, it makes me happy shifting those gears with that power. Some days I read about all the problems and I go I wish I didn't buy a Z or something but as soon as I get into my car its like... ah.. I love you baby...

Well I just got back from local twisties. Did six runs up and down. Goddamn what a ride!

The last run, a 911 arrived in front of me. He totally wanted to run, so we did. The road was devoid of traffic. Usually is on Saturdays.

When we got to the other side--I waited for him to show up. He pulled up next to me and his first comment was, "jesus that's fast". Then he asked me about the exhaust. He was floored by how it sounded. He thought there was a Ferrari pulling behind him at first. Nice.

Love it. Although now I'm starting to get used to the power. Turbo should cure that.

Only thing that I don't like about it is that I'm always worried one of these idiot Florida drivers is going to slam into me. It seems like they actually TRY to take out my car on some occasions.

Nice run Mr_Q. By the way, what's a nice twisty road around here in so cal? Moholan Hwy, Canon dune, and Topanga canyon road in Santa Monica are the ones I've been to so far (they are very nice by the way).

Default Loving the Drive!

Yup, Yup...love it. Took a 7-month hiatus from work last year and drove it all over the countryside here in Oregon. Seems like I was in the car more than in my bed! In any event, I never tired of the experience.

Now, that I am back to work, I take it out on nice weekends for a quick trip to the coast or to a local Z event.

I still love it and get a real thrill when hitting the highways and byways here.

But every once in a while, I gotta break out the BeaSSt for some fun, too!

Sorry for the non-Z content below....

Actually if you're going down Topanga--Kanan which is further West--is even better. It has passing lanes!

Kanan has some great highspeed straights and then lots of fun tight curves. The passing lanes are great to get around the Sunday cruiser's.

Just take the PCH or 101 N/W until you get to Kanan. Get on and have fun. Heading towards the ocean on Kanan from the 101 is best. Then I cruise down the PCH and stop off at Gladstone's for a drink and some fish.

Locally, where I live, the Sepulveda gap as it heads over the hills in to Santa Monica is a blast. It can get filled with traffic, but on the weekends it's usually clear. Lots of fun. I take that to work actually.

Finally the Los Angeles Crest HW (2) is alot of fun. Not real fast, but it will exercise your steering response.

Ever since I got my GT Roadster, I live for the weekends, when I can go topless.

I don't care how bad my day has been, sliding behind the wheel of my UY Z always brings a smile to my face.

Very cool....haven't been through L.A Crest HW yet, but I'll check it out on map quest, thanks Mr_Q. I heard L.A National Forest is one sweet road as well, and the road to Big Bear . Anyone know if they use salt on the road to Big Bear?

All of this twisty road talk makes me want to drive!
