Guess what my wife did to my Z today?
Well.........where do I start? I wasnt feeling so good so I was asleep the entire day. When I woke up what I found was amazing. My wife had taken the time to go to a local performance shop to get me the Nitrous trigger button that I wanted for a long time and replaced the simple red one that came with the kit. I never thought she could figure out removing the center console and doing all the wiring. Then she used the simple red switch I had been usin g for the Nitrous and used it as an overwrite switch so i can watch DVD's while the parking brake is down. She completely overwrote that safety thing that came with the Alpine. She even drilled a holw under the pedestal herself to put it and beleive me it looks nice.
As if thats not it, she bought some paint adhesives and red glossy paint for high temperatures and painted my Brake fluid cover and the battery cover red. She said she was meaning to do the engine cover too but wanted to try it on the smaller parts first.
When I woke up the covers where almost dry. Then about an hour later tonight my wife tolled me to go get a box from the garage and I found my hood open with the two covers painted and all the other stuff I mentioned she did.
Maybe to you guys its nothing but Im soexited my wife took the time to do all this. She said she had gotten instructions from a friend to do the switches and did research about painting engine parts. I will post a few pics here in a bit but tomorrow during daylight I will take better pics.

Here is a few pics. Sorry for the bad quality for garage is very dark. Here you can see the engine covers, the Nitrous switch with the cover, the DVD overwrite switch and the Nitrous switch with the LED on.
Nice stereo. Little tip though...if you try to bypass the safety unit with a switch it'll time out and turn itself off. For the IVA-D300 you need to buy the marine bypass unit. Otherwise your system will know that you're trying to fake it out and will turn off.

It is so wonderful having a mod friendly wife isn't it? I don't think mine has the prowess to do what yours did, but she frequently flips through my import mags looking for cool stuff for the Z. Life is good!!!
