Well I had a 04 Z but I trade it in for an 05 Evo. I must say I do miss the Z but the body shop never got the Z repaired to my satifaction. I was also having some other issues with the Z. Another reason was my wife had a baby and the Z was not practical. The Z has superb low end torque and great horsepower. The handling wasnt that great on the curves. I could feel the Z slipping. Maybe it was the stock tires. Other than that the Z has the best looks over mostly any car out there. The Evo has great response with a little turbo lag. The handling is better than the Z. Sure its a 4cyl turbo engine modified econobox with a big wing but its a great car. Its affordable and cheaper to modify than the Z. The STI is about the same as the Evo. I dont think I felt much of a turbo lag on the STI. IHO, the STI felt wobbly on the curves compared with the Evo. Both cars are great but my choice was the Evo. You can have fun and you can also carry your friends or family around when needed. Oh yea, I love to go grocery shopping!

Crazyness. I traded in my 03 Evo for an 03 Z. I am so glad with my move, but must say that NOTHING feels like when youre driving an Evo. The Z is faster from a roll and I was interested in persuing a Nitrous setup for a track car. So I decided to go Nitrous with the Z. The Evo did better when stock. But the Z is doing better now

Good choice on the evo. Can I ask what price did u get it for? any package like the SSL?
I totally feel you when a body shop just couldn't repair a car back to where it was and it just makes no sense keeping it and dealing with all the problems occuring.
I have driven both evo and Sti, and I call BS to whoever stilll say which ever car has huge turbo lag, maybe on those models 6+years ago. Both cars has minial turbo lags and it feels surprisingly smooth as a turbo'd car when booth kicks in.

Eh, numbers schnumbers. Civics can beat z's off the line if they are worked and will still cost less.

Comparing Z's and Sti's are like comparing supermodels and pornstars. They're both Hot, one's just ... classier.

I got my Evo for 2800 but OTD was about 36,000 because of the negative equatity on the Z and financing. I loved the Z but when I saw it in bad shape I couldnt take it. Maybe in the future I will buy another Z but right now the Evo best fits me.
