Default Lightweight Battery??

I have simply decided that locating the battery to the rear is too much of a pain in the *** and the use of 0 gauge wire completely negates any weight savings. This car needs weight taken off the nose of the car. The biggest savings I see is in the battery. The stock felt like it weighed about 40lbs so replacing it with a 12-15lb racing unit seems like a good way to get 25lbs or so off the car and more importantly off the front of the car.

Any suggestions on what model to use? Odyssey, Optima, anyon have any experience? Thanks!

raceboy,

I'm confused. Which one is you? The girl, Kermit, or the dog?

Sorry, I had to. You took your cars off.

My friend has a 14lb Dyna-batt for his 2.0L Nissan. They are about as light as batteries can get. Check them out here:

Thanks flyingscot, dynabat has been ordered. I have a battery tender that I will use to keep the battery charged. This battery will only be installed for track days.

Oh wow, thats a lot of weight saving. Does it contain enough power to supply upgraded audio systems?

I am only going to use it for track days, otherwise I'll leave it on it's battery tender.

Dude taking out 25 pounds won't do anything. Now if you made your car look like the picture i attached then it would make a difference
