A buddy of mine just bought a Z and hit a curb after owning the car for only a few weeks, and he asked me a question that I really couldn`t answer too well, so I thought I`d ask my loving family at my350z.. heh

On his car he has to have the front bumper replaced, and one of the headlights.. would this earn his car a salvage title? And if so, how much does his car`s value go down?

There is no way that a front bumper and headlight replacement is going to salvage the car! A salvage title is given to a car that has been damaged at least more than half of a cars value. With this said if a car is valued at $20,000 and it costs $13000+ to fix, the insurance company will just pay the owner the total value of the car (minus depreciation) and pick up the car to be sold at an auction.
