Opinions on used resale offers
Hi all,
Haven't posted in forever, but thought I would get some opinions. I have my Z for sale in the local paper. I have a CS base model (no options except floor mats) with 5K miles on it. It gets professionally detailed every two weeks and I am selling it because I am moving and think a new house is smarter than 3 cars. Anyway, I have it listed as 28K or best offer. I only listed it about 3 days ago. I have gotten 2 calls from dealers offering 25K and none from individuals. I know I am biased but don't you guys think it is worth more than 25K...maybe 28K was reaching but...
Anyway..looking for opinions, confident I will get them here.

p.s. I am in greensboro, NC if you feel location makes a price difference.

Well, it's a base model + floormats. 26869 or so + tax and license. I'd say that you should run with 25,000 and cut your losses. I don't think the dealerships will make any money off that sale. Depreciation is still pretty steep no matter what car.. I'd say a 27,000 car is already down to 25,XXX by then or so... The first two years will probably see a 5-10k drop depending on what else happens with all the Zs. Initial impression will be taken over by a flurry of consumers.
EDIT: Also remember that you're looking at 30,000 Zs estimated for our shores per year!!!

The base model isn't the most popular model, but it is the most affordable. Chill. 3 days is nothing. Leave it exactly as is for at least 2 weeks. Somebody wants a nice Christmas present.

If you can, be patient. The dealers are going to low-ball you. The dealers are also adding at least $2000 "market adjustment" to MSRP on the showroom floor.

I will do my best to be patient. Problem is I obviously do not want to sell my Z. More of a need to thing. Just seeing it online and in the paper is killing me.
