THe Z is DEad
Hey guys im back i wanted to give everyone a heads up. The lawyer sent the letter and also spoke with the better business bureau, and the bbb gave Nissan a certain amount of days to respond. Well it looks like the lawyer and the BBB have done something b/c nissan this week or next is going to call my lawyer and will be picking up my car and taking it to a dealer, and They will be sending a rep to inspect the car for real from what ive been told, not just stare at it. So my lawyer def got more done then i did b/c now i actually have a chance so I think this is a good thing, i feel my lawyer got things moving, now hopefully after this inspection they will cover the car right away.
if you dont get your car fixed....we should start a online petition. I just read this...nisan dealerships are jerks. The original tech that called Nissan was to blame on this. They are the ones that had to agree that your mods could have done the damage. NOT nissan USA. nissanusa only has the dealership techs to give input and then Nissan makes the final decision. I personally would have talked to the techs BEFORE I brought my car in and ASKED would exhaust mods blow a motor. If they said yes I WOULD NOT TAKE IT TO THEM. I would look for a nissan tech somewhere in the country to say what I wanted them forward me to the right dealership.
I think you should make Nissan pay for the Lawyer fees as well as your car. If it's covered have them pick up the Lawyer fee because it should have never gotten that far with proper inspection of the vehicle.
I think your lawyer is just going thru the BBB's arbitration
program. This program is paid for by nissan and your area rep will know the arbitrator on a first name basis. You will eat your lawyer fees. If you then want to fight the BBB decision in small claims court you will pay even more.$$$
Now what you really need to do:
1. Find a lawyer that has experience in with this type of
case.
2. Forget the BBB route, it cost to much and you have a
big chance to lose.
3. Sue nissan under the federal law of not honoring their
warranty.(I don't remember the exact one, its been to
long). If you go this route you can get a lawyer with
no money upfront(unless you have to go to court). If
you win, NISSAN will have to pay your lawyers fees.

Your car looks sweet.I am sorry what has happened to your car but I think because you have been inside the motor(assuming you have installed that cam in your sig.),your fighting an uphill battle.Everybody please don't flame me because I hope they cover it for you.I have done a head/cam,headers etc. on my Z06 and I would be sick if it happened to me,but I don't expect GM to warranty my car if it does.Good luck. What did your car dyno at?
... just following along ... hope this all works out for you ... gone through similar issues here and have plenty of experience with big Corporations/Entities just sending back form letters hoping you go away. You need to keep up the fight ...
