redline z during breakin?
okay i'm getting my z very shortly and i want to go about beaking in he car properly for optimum performance and reliability. I have searched and the answers from people for what you should do vary greatly. Some people say take it like the manual says and no hard driving until after 1200 miles. But other ppl sounding like experts say you should redline the car after 500 miles to set piston rings or some bs; and if you don't it will hurt the cars performance greatly. Please someone give all proper breakin procedures and solve this mystery!

Drive it with reckless abandon! Just kidding. Don't drive for 200 miles with the cruise control set on 55mph. Alternate your rpms, and speed. Don't be afraid to hit the throttle. You want those rings to seal nice nice. I have almost 400 and I'm starting to really lay into it.
Life begins after 4500 rpms...

It is your toy. It will do your bidding! I have a buddy who picked up a new lightning last year and drove it from the dealership to raceway park in nj to run the 1/4 mile. that was his break procedure.
