Heads up on 15,000 mile service!!
To resurface an old thread, here's an article on "free" maintenance and how some of the makers who do offer it are (or already have cut back on this). http://www.detnews.com/2005/autosins...uto-241591.htm
can we have someone show us how to do all the service things ourselves? Is there a place to find all of these fluid service intervals that arent listed in our service manuals. I totally love DIY because it SMM (saves me money) Obviously i know how to change the oil and air filter i mean the harder stuff
I went to Cerritos Nissan today for my first free oil change and wanted them to fix my driver side door, it didn't close smoothly and made a popping sound when opening it compared to passenger side. I got it back today with globs of grease in the door latch, and now the door has a bigger gap between the body of the car and door when closed. I called the service Supervisor, and of course no return call!!! Do you think I can go to another dealer to fix this or should I just hassle with Cerritos until they do it right? I F*#@ing hate dealership service departments.....I gotta find a good, honest one in So Cal!!!!
I noticed you said on the 30,000 mile service to have your trany drained and refilled. Is it really necesary to have your tranny serviced every 30000 miles? I have never had one serviced and I am 43. My last car was a Pontiac Grand Am with 152000 miles on it.
