S2000 vs Boxster S vs 350Z Track vs M3
I know its a lame post, but nothing new to talk about. I know its all speculation but lets put these cars on a hypotheticat track lots of corners longest straight 1/3 mile or less. OK whats the order finish?
We all know the M3 will win by a larger margin than the other three cars separation put together. Because this is somewhat speculation and because we all feel we have the upper hand I would have to say the Z is 2nd, Boxster S close 3rd, and S2000 a very close 4th. On a side note, the 4 seasons test M3 that accompanied the Z on the MTZC event in Nashville was faster in the opinion everyone there. The handling was close but it was said the Z may have the upper hand!

Yeah I was reading the title of the thread and thought the M3 looked out of place.
It is impossible to place the Z. None of us have driven it, and there are no definitive reviews of the Z.
Don't forget the Z weighs a bit more than the Boxster S, or the S2000. Yes even the track version is a pig compared to the others.
If I was to guess at a magazines comparo doing these three cars this fall or next spring.
#1 would go to the Boxster S
#2 would go to the S2000 (if they test the track version, Nissan will lose it's price benefit, so don't be surprised if they send base model or enthusiasts to test.
#3 will go to the Z. The S2000 is in it's 4th year of product, bugs if any will have been worked out, and while the Z will have more goodies and cargo space, I think reviewers will still go with the S2000 as the better technical triumph.

very hard to answer that question, M3 doesn't even belong there. It will be very close between the S2K and the 350Z, maybe half a car. The porsche is very fast too, so I have to say this is too close to call, get three of the best drivers on a track to figure that one out!!
