"SLIP" light comes on when driving normal
I got a new tire on one side on the rear and I got the slip light a few times on a good surface. I figured that the new tire was slightly stickier and was spinning a hair less than the worn tire. I don't get the light at all anymore, just when the tire was brand new.
How does this help you, you ask? Methinks it may be one tire spinning just a hair more than the other even though you don't feel it or hear it. Hope this helps.

Are they the stock sizes or did you play with new sizes?

Other than that, Yeah, its probably a sensor, I would definatly have it looked at.

Make sure they didn't put the front rims on the back and vice versa. Since they had all 4 off the car they might have mixed them up. I Have seen this many times before. Rotated tires and no slip light. The front wheels are machined different so they fit the front hubs. The rear wheels fit but it screws them up if you do it. The bolt on the front hubs is for this reason.

Wow.. I didn't realize this..
That slip sensor will cut your throttle too.. Could be dangerous..

A missmatched front to rear tire is probably the problem here. A failled sensor should throw an error code, turning both VDC OFF a SLIP lights on for exemple.
