why not? the kid asked a question, should we disregard it because of his age?

Personally I find this thread amusing, but if it offends anyone, call a mod to come lock it.

Wow, you guys really need to stop drinking haterade on this kid. I wish my parents had bought my a Z. That argument on learning to drive well before you start wheeling around a tourquey rwd 350z should be thrown out the window. 20 years ago, "kids" were learning to drive on their camaros and mustangs that could put out just as much power as the Z without TCS, VDC, or something called an airbag. Driving FWD til he's 23 wont make him a better RWD driver..it'll just make him more accustomed to "easy, consistent, predicatable" cars.
Granted, his reasons for wanting the car are shady at best and his grammar and spelling make him difficult to respect and take seriously, but there's no reason to haze the kid. You guys are coming off more arrogantly than 330ci drivers. Not a way to welcome someone into a community of driving enthusiasts composed of 35 years of the Z, but that's just my two cents.

Now, to the topic. 1-2 years is a long wait. Your mind might change completely by then, but if you were to get one soon, I'd say Enthusiast also. TCS and VDC will let you "learn to drive a rwd car" without getting you into too much trouble.

But I must say...that quote "I'm 16. I'm not stupid," was definitely one of the funniest things I've heard all day.

It's not an argument but merely a suggestion. He doesn't have to take my advice if he doesn't want to. So if he wants to get it, that's totally fine. I never said it was wrong. I know that kids back then just drove high performance cars & they still do now but I just want to make sure he understands that there is a great deal of responsibility in driving such cars. I've seen too many youngsters driving around high performance cars & end up wrecking them because they either don't understand how to drive that type of car or get cocky & think they're playing GT4 or something. I want to save him the headaches before spending a lot of time & money.

Well, if you wanted to be specific... It should be It's instead of Its. there should be a <;> inbetween "know" and not. = It's "know"; not "now" .

Hey Man, do you or your parents know how much insurance is gonna cost you or them for that matter? Have you even researched that? Who's buying the Z?

BTW, what grade are you in?

You will probably be that kid in a Honda commercial driving a BMW delivering pizza's to your friends, HA! Well unless your parents are rich and you don't pay a dime.

My .02

I am also guessing I will never see you in any type of Spelling Bee Competitions!

Oh and the best bang for the buck is the Enthusiast Model and no thats not a Playboy Model but a Nissan Model!

Hey there Nissan350z, I encourage you to utilize the search function when possible before asking a question since you can usually answer your own question. However, feel free to post if you cannot find it.

Anyways...

Well, he could have gotten better answers if he left some info out. Why would he mention he is 16 yrs old.
