Who here has the TRACK or driven one.
Is there a big difference in the brakes between the Brembos from the Track model to the standard breaks from the Base/Enthusiast/Perf./Tour ??? I say this because the the G35 sedan stopped from 60 in 114 ft. while the coupe with brembos stopped only 1 foot less at 113 ft. Anyone know the numbers of stopping distances between the Track vs. other models. Also is stopping distances hte only difference between the brakes???
I have the track but havn't driven any other model. The magazines basicly say that the brembos don't reduce stopping distance but are very fade resistant. In other words, after 5 hard stops from 60, the brembos will still be working at full capicity, the standard brakes will be taking longer to stop.

Light weight wheels make a HUGE difference. when talking about wheels you are dealing with rotational mass, not standing weight. It works out that 10 pounds of rotational mass is equivalent to 50 pounds of standing weight. So if one set of wheels weighs 30 pounds and another set of wheels only weighs 20, you aren't shaving 40 pounds of weight, you are in actuality shaving 200 pounds.

The best tire in the world will not stop correctly without the right size rotors and pads. If you put a 9 " rotor with the same relative size pads on a Z I would not do 140 mph in the car and expect to stop very fast. Tires and brakes work together, they need each other and have to sized right to work correctly.

The Brembos won't fade, that's why they cost more.
