Seat Belts - for track use
Has anyone installed a 4 point harness? I want to do this without cutting up the interior. How and where can the rear attachment points be located?
Check out www.BCRLtd.net. This is THE correct way to install competition harnesses. If you're going to track your Z, I suggest a 6 point harness to prevent slipping under the lap belts. Some HPDE organizers require anti-sub belts with a harness.
Edit: Just saw this in the roadster area......harness bar won't work on them.

Thanks a lot - that's a great site - good stuff. But by the time it gets to Canada with exchange, taxes, duty, shipping etc. it will be well over $1,000.00 Can. and for only a couple of track events a year it is hardly worth while. Too bad 'cos it looks great.
I have a friend that tracks his stock M3. His trick to using the stock seat belts and not sliding all around is: fasten seat belt, recline the seat back, then grab the shoulder portion and give a tug but keeping the shoulder belt close to your chest, the locking mechanism will engage, don't let go and then raise the seat back (and you) up against the locked belt. This really only works with the power recline and as a passenger with him, it DOES work. Or for some small $, check out this site. I'm sure you can find someone in the Great White North that is a distributor. http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/home.htm
