Warranty question
my question is rather simple... yet both Nissan Canada and Nissan USA seem to not really have an answer.
My question is this;
If one buys a used/new Nissan (350Z in our case) in the U.S and moves to a permenant residence in Canada, is the warranty still valid over the boarder?
Nissan USA is saying something whack... along the lines of once you move your residence to Canada, you have only 50DAYS of warranty coverage (assuming you move when your car is bought from day one, brand new).
The reason im asking this is because im looking to purchase a 350Z from the states (good deal, family friend). Its still under factory warranty. I would be driving the car back to Canada....
is my warranty still good?
Can anyone check their manual service booklet or whatever they have?
50 days just seems so wrong for me...
I mean, I can always drive to the the boarder and get it fixed, but its a whole differnt story knowing your warranty is valid in your own city.
Anyone?
Appreciate it.

Don't know the answer, but you may want to check with Nissan Canada and try to get an answer in writing. About how much cheaper is it to get from the US? Don't forget you have to add shipping, tax, and some minor mod to make it legal to register in Canada.

I did all the math...
theres no shipping since I'll be driving it back
Taxes... Id be paying either way (bought in Canada or not)
The only difference is the 6.1% duty fee + 100 for air conditioning and some other minor thing.
So yah, its worth it.
The monkeys at Nissan Canada and Nissan U.S cant seem to really give me a straight answer.

Not to hijack your thread bro, but I also have a warranty question I was hoping some of the veterans here could answer. As far as maintenance goes like oil changes etc... should I keep the receipts? What services must I complete to keep my Z covered under warranty if any? Thanks in advance
