Got airborn at 80 mph.
Before the flaming starts I in no way knew or ment to do this what so ever. I risked my life as well as the life of one of my best friends along with any other poeple on this road on this day. I am not proud of this and am not bragging by any stretch of the imagination. I guess the only reason I am posting this is because it happened and everyone came out unscathed. Thank God.
Last week I was back home(Des Moines) on vacation and just got done playing a round of golf with a buddy of mine. On the the way home took some back roads to let her unwind. Open two lane road with no one in sight. Not running hard or anything but got up mid 80's and a railroad crossing came into sight. There were no signs to inform me of this, you would have to be stupid to approach any railroad crossings at this speed. By the way I love my car and in no way would want to even scratch it. Well I had enough time to take my foot of the gas and see what I was dealing with. The crossing dipped low then elevated after the tracks. I could see where vehicles had scraped on the far side from approaching to fast.
With no time to really do anything, I prepared for what I thought was going to be the worst bottom out ever and totally f up my car. Not even close. I held on and heard what I thought was my back end falling off...no, airborn. The launch sent my *** end into oncoming traffic because the crossing was at an angle. The first fish tail was to quick to make any adjustments. The second tail was sending us striaght into the right ditch. Didn't make any movements, just held on straight. Came out of that just in time to finally realize what the f is going on. Sending us back towards the ditch on the left side. This was getting old and knew if I made it though this one everything would be cool. I can actually put frames of memories with the actions now. But this is after me seeing my car hitting a ditch and having it and it's passengers flipping over and over in my mind. I Held on tight and straightened out. Unbelievable.
Basically me and my friend are lucky to be alive. Didn't touch the brakes throughout the hole thing and didn't hear a squeal from the tires. This is why I know what kind of tires I am buying for every sports car I own for the rest of my life. I owe my life to that company. I am running 10.5" in the rear and 9.5" in the front, oem would have not came out of this. After we slowly arrived home I checked underneath and found not a scratch. The sound I heard had to have been my front shocks bottoming out and sending me flying. I figure we got 8 to 10 inches off the ground, give or take front and rear. The whole car was off the ground. True story.
Sorry for run ons and misplaced paragraphs, I am not a writer.

Everything is fine. This was the day before I drove 1100 miles home. Made it. No problems. I seriously have a new found love for this car that I didn't have before. I would pay soooo much to mave this on tape just to have.

****.. that brought me horrific memory.
I went air born at 140 racing a 360 Modena.. not in a straight line, but a sharp highway turn, he got too scared to keep up and I got too stupid wanting to beat'em.
One part of the highway had those stupid metal lines for water drainage popping out and it was like hitting a speed bump, I changed one lane in the air, I landed hard but didn't loose control thanks to the falkens.
It was worth it though..
Glad you'r ok, drive safe "that goes to me also"
