The stock crankshaft is the weak point vq35de, it cant rev as high, and the block isnt as strong as a VG block, save yer money and yer better off stuffing a built vg30dett from a 300zx twinturbo in there. Those can easily make 600rwhp with less money. Just a suggestion from experience since i owned a modded twin-turbo Z32 in the past.

No i seriously doubt it, 1400hp will snap it......the reason why is that the only way you can make massive power is to boost it, to boost it you will need utilize large turbos, to use large turbos you will have to rev high to spool them, thats when the crank snaps, the VQ35 cant rev very high, there is too many limitation factors that make this motor not a good choice to make more then 450~500 reliable rwhp . Escort Racing have been tinkering with VQ35's for a while and these motors aint a good choice for much more then that, and for those of you that dont know Escort Racing, they are the premier Nissan tuning specialist in Japan since 1982.

Performance Motorsports was using the OEM crank on their VQ35DE that was pushing around 1400hp. Maxima owners are revving to ~8+k with their VQ35DE.

not a VQ35de...I think the max owners that rev 8K+ i believe were VQ30DE's...as far as the performance motorsports goes arent they the ppl who blew their engines?

Escort Racing is THE premier tuner of Nissans in Japan and I have yet to hear about them or see anything they've done to a Z?! Not saying it isn't so, but that I'm truly disappointed if I've missed out on this, and would like more info.
to the thread- I can't believe another Z owner gave you every opportunity to back down and save face, PLUS was willing to help you out with what information he's gathered (especially regarding the too-new-to-be-well-known 300hp Rev-Up engine)...and you just shat in his face. You, my friend, are an a**. Please learn some respect for the other members of the forum, and don't remind us of how rich you are every second post. Thank you.

Performance Motorsports were the first people to take the 350Z into the 12's, 11's, 10's, 9's, and 8's with a VQ35DE. They blew their motor running a 250 or 300 shot on the stock engine. They rebuilt everything and got to ~1200-1400hp, replaced everything except the OEM crank and OEM upper intake plenum. (as far as performance (not aerodynamic/weight related)) I'm not sure if this has been replaced for this season though. I know it is considered a funny car this season.

yes thats what they have also, but they have been tinkering with parts and stuff in Japan for 350Z's, they are a well known tuner in japan, they have a location here in the states as well.

Hey, what about the tranny
Ignore the kid, dreams or not. Talk about making that much HP.
It seems the Z's tranny can't stand up to 300 crank HP, how will it stand up to 600 RWHP? What about the rear end? It wasn't made to take that much torque. Just wondering.

Mod the **** out of your new cars. Enjoy it. When you sell it don't expect to make near your money back unless you have a car known nationwide. The only car I have seen recover most of its value is a 98 Supra running 9's in street trim with the exception of wheels/tires. It went for about $75K and we're not sure he made all his money back, just most. The 300ZXTT easily makes 400rwhp reliably. No turbo upgrade necessary. After that is when the big bucks start being spent. Every mod for the ZTT was just as expensive as mods for the 350.
and yes you can make 600rwhp relatively easy with a VG30DETT, its been done more times then you think, in fact there are quite a few ppl doing it with the stock motor and with upgraded bolt-ons.....to make 600whp $30K is sufficient.

Im not quite sure about the Z33 transmission but the stock Z32 trans and diff can take quite a beating actual how much power it can take is unknown but yet there are alot of ppl making 6-700rwhp on stock parts so i suppose its stout enough.

You show me one stock motor VG30 making 600rwhp and you sir have my respect.
Ok here ill show you a few instead of just one....This guy being the highest that i know of :
Sean Wagner made 744rwhp on his stock internal motor with bolt ons and custom tuning.

The LSD needs to be upgraded, as do the rear axles (Driveshaft Shop).
