I have the anti theft type. Now if the person has a similar key they can get it off if they know. Most people just think they are stripped. Mine have stayed on there for two years.

I also have them on my Firebird. They have been on there for 6-7 years.

I guess $25 is too much for the thief to buy a set to get a key.

Maybe the next fad will be with S2000 owners wanting longer antennas, and then this theft can go full circle.

That sucks. I hope that never happens to me. The antena that i've got is not cheap. Here in Hawaii where i live, i don't know one person with a Z that has had this prob. so i'm hopeful...Knock, Knock, Knock on wood.

That damn S2k antenna fits on alot of cars now....so theft is inevitable.

Do what I do....

Take a **** in the toilet and toss your antenna in there to let is soak. Then screw it on your car while wearing latex gloves.

You get the last laugh!!!

That's a great, but really sick idea!
Think it feels bad to lose an antenna? How about getting the rear 350z emblem and half the Nissan hamburger jacked off the back of your car with a few scrapes and a small dent left as a present? Talk about feeling violated!

I would do that. But they'll get mad from being unable to steal that $10 thing and then put a jackhammer through your window. So I decided just to leave it alone. I'm lucky mine hasn't been touched for 4 month though ;p

Sorry guys... I've been trying to boost my reception here in Seattle (lots of hills). I've probably got your antennas... I now have 326 stock and aftermarket antennas mounted on the roof of my 03!!! The reception is actually worse now... and my fingers smell like pee. Back to the drawing board...

If you're THAT concerned ...or are parking the Z for a length of time (Overnight or at dinner or a movie)...Just unscrew the antenna off and toss it in the trunk.

I'd definitely take it off before X-Mas Shopping in a mall parking lot....lots of thieving bastards there!

The s2K and H2 antennas work on the VW GTI's as well. I had an H2 one on mine. I'll try my luck with an s2k antenna this time around. If they steal it whateva...just slap the stock one back on. It's too bad we have to just act as if this crap is inevitable...pos thieves. I am definitely getting a good alarm system. Maybe one that sends a signal back to me via a pager or something so I can haul *** and catch em' in the act

If you live in the U.S. you can probably get sued because someone trying to rob you injured him/herself while doing so.

I'm always worried about that because my antenna is sweet! ANd I love it, but I bought it on E-bay and I'd never be able to find the same one again...

Yah after hearing about the multiple antenna thefts, I decided just to take off the antenna when I park and put it back on when I'm about to drive again. Seems to work so far.

I have one of those trick little antenna's, just "LockTite" it.
That way someone can't just remove it with their fingers.
Most of the time it's just kids stealing stuff like that.
