I just got my s2k shorty antenna stolen... or i just noticed it was stolen...

pisses me off, was having a nice day and i get in the car, look in the sideview mirror and notice its gone.......

who the **** would steal a goddamn antenna?!?!?!?!?!?!? ****.

 

Another Z member that had his stolen. Its a revolving cycle, !

thieves should be castrated.....at least they got something that's pretty cheap to replace.

 

at least it was your antenna and not your wheels or something like that.

 

If you read here about those antennas, they get stolen fairly frequently. Perhaps b/c of the ease of removing it. Such discussions mentioned gluing on the antennas and measures to that effect, but in the end, there isn't much you can do...

 

I know, I'll get an antenna and super glue tiny bits of broken glass all over it. Blood = Justice! LOL

prolly some celica owner. i believe they are a direct fit onto their cars as well.

i rememebr alot of s2k guys were getting them stolen left and right

 

go to the s2k boards and read how many people steal there antennas. its crazy. they also get there shift **** stolen too.

 

That would be a very bad idea.

RC cars have a thing called a spur gear it's there as a weak link in the drive train. They put it there so if something goes wrong the cheap spur gear will wear out/break to keep other more costly parts from breaking.

my point of my short story is if you glue the antenna on who evers trying to take it is going to put force on it and maybe break the whole thing off bolt and all. as with maybe even scratching up the paint.

I'd rather have my $20 part stolen then to find random broke parts on my car.

 

Stock antenna's don't seem to get stolen.

Bastards stole my stock antenna yesterday. Not sure when, but I believe it was right in front of my apartment. My Z will be 2 years old next week, never had a problem before, other than some inconsiderate door dingers. I cannot even begin to explain how mad I was when I noticed it missing. What kills me the most is not being able to get back at the hater that did it.

Whatever though, I'm just charging it to the game and moving on.

 

Just be thankful that is all the hater did. I'd rather them steal my antenna then key my car. *shiver*
