Default Bose Sub Grill

Does this thing actually have holes in it? I am looking to order it from Performance Nissan, because I am building a Car PC and I was going to store it where the stock sub would be if I got a touring. I wanted to use this grill to allow air to get to the PC for ventilation. It would look stock and be functional. So would air pass through this? I would think this would be an obvious answer considering there is a sub pushing air behind it lol but I just want to be absolutely sure.

Well your right about the grill having very very small holes, but your wrong about the sub pushing air through them. I'm in the process of upgrading my entire audio system and I removed the Bose "subwoofer" and "amplifier" and its inverted (meaning the magnet is facing the driver).

Oh, didn't know that, thanks. But there are holes in it? That's good, any little bit more air I can get in there would be good. I just don't want to cut some big ugly hole in there or something. I want it to appear stock. And I figured the stock grill would be good enough.

Sufficient air will not flow through for cooling purposes. You will have to use forced induction to get enought air to move through the panel. a small 12vdc brushless fan from PartsExpress.com or Radio Shack should do the job. Use appoxy to glue it to the inside of the panel. Then wire it into cars 12 volt pwr supply. Use a Bosch relay and the HU's remote antenna wire. This will energize the relay. The fan will then draw current and voltage from the car battery instead of your HU.

That is a GREAT idea! I would need a big fan to cover most of the are of the back of the grill and it would have to be quiet. Do you have any ideas or recommendations? I don't think a little 120 mm fan would cut it in this case.
