Help! Massive heat - drivers side floor
Hey guys....I am having massive amounts of heat radiating into the cabin from the drivers side floor area. I also found some water there....Anyone have a clue what is going on here?

I think all of us are feeling the heat. The water is not water. It is the sweat from your behind.
All kidding aside - the Z car is one hot car... Don't know what the water is though. Has it been raining in FL lately?

The Z is Damn hot! Try playing around with the air circulation button. From what I understand, The Zs engine is set much further back into the passenger compartment than other cars for weight distribution and balance. This means we're sitting practically on the engine, so it is HOT. If anyone knows, let me know if I'm wrong.

Aftermarket cats don't have the extra shielding the stock ones have and they sit right under your feet. Have you swapped?
The only thing I could think of on the water is that the A/C drain is clogged and the pan is overflowing into the cabin...was a known problem with the Cherokee's a few years back.

They also lack any semblance of heat shielding. Good, cause that would add weight and we can't afford any more of that!

I am feeling alot of heat too! It's crazy. I can feel it through the plastic center console. It feels like it's 120 degrees atleast.
And my back sweats from sitting in the Z.... even with the ac on.
Tell me this is normal!
When my feet are near the driver's side door and my car is on, it feels like the heat comming out when u open an oven!
It's too hot....... No car I've owned got this hot.
So all Z owners are feeling this heat? Can you confirm?

Hey Guys thanks for all your replies. I still have no clue whats going on..? I have had the car for about 5 months now and never has it been this bad. I do have an aftermarket exhaust(Greddy EVO2) with stock cats though.
To answer some other questions. It has been raining a lot in Fl and now I am in SC and it was raining hard again when I actually noticed this. I'm gonna go check everything out right now and see if it still heats up.
When I say it gets hot I mean it gets damn hot...to the point where even AC is not enough anymore. I'll be taking it to the dealership this Tuesday morning...the only thing I'm afraid of is them saying they won't honor the warranty due to the Greddy exhaust and I dont have my stock one anymore.
Please continue this discussion and if anyone has any insight please post. Thanks again!

Well after driving around for about an hour I noticed the usual amount of heat and nothing unbearable. From what I can recall this only happens when there is a lot of rain. Also when it rains I can feel some water come in through the lower part of the drivers side near the pedals...any thoughts on this. Is it normal to have water enter the cabin or is this something else I should be concerned about? Thanks and I think I'll still be taking it in to Nissan. I don't want any problems before my APS ST goes on...
