Default Just test drove a Z

Hey everyone, been on the boards for awhile now, but this is my first message, so hello. Just got back from driving an 03 enthusiast edition Z with only 8k miles on it at carmax here in KC. I currently drive a SE-R SpecV and it was like a night and day difference. I realized just how much I do love the Z. The car had quite a bit more power than I am used to driving, so the test drive wasn't very smooth. The clutch, the revs, everything was different but I had a blast driving it. I didn't hear any odd road noise for feathering and the car drove STRAIGHT, no pulling to the right like I read elsewhere on here. The car was priced at 25000 if I recall correctly, which is a lil high for an 03, but that mileage was nice. They had another one in cali,.......in blue which is what I want. It was an 05 enthusiast with 2k miles on it for 26k....not sure what could be wrong with it, the memo they sent us said he had knee issues. Bad part is, I cannot afford that payment right now. If everything goes right, I should have 7k saved for a downpayment by this time next year and will be able to purchase. Now, don't say I wasted the dealers time b/c I didn't. I requested more info via email, they said to come take a look at it and drive it, I said it'd still be about a year b4 Im ready to buy, she said thats fine with me but you should drive it anyway. So, I drove it, fell in love, and am now not putting any more unneccesary money into my current car. You guys have it nice with your cars....I hope to join ya someday.

If you look around you can find some deals on Z's. I'm sure in less than a year you'll have some money and will come across a nice one for a reasonable price. You'll love the car.

And don't worry about wasting a car salesman's time...I actualy get some enjoyment out of it.

watch out for carmax... when i bought my '03 they tacked on a 1500$ warranty without even discussing it with me (austin, tx location)... almost a deal breaker.

but, the car was exactly what i wanted... so i got it anyway.
