it was fun - the Z is gone
well.. it's been almost 3 yrs. I remember the day I joined this forum back in '02.
now that the lemon lawsuit is over and I got my settlement I sold the Z.
Nissan was required by the settlement to have an official Nissan Engineer and Tech come fix my car and repair all the issues it's had since day one. With that out of the way I sold it.
next vehicle.... don't know but probably the new Supra when it's released... but I'm going to wait a year until the bugs are worked out. no more first model year cars for me again.
Good riddance... so long... over and out.

glad to hear you got those issued settled with your Z.
as an employee of a major Toyota Distributor I haven't heard any news of a new supra being release anytime soon. the rumored GT5000 is still in its design concept stage and if it does ever see a showroom floor, it will definately be a $100,000+ lexus nameplate vehicle. now the good news would be that Toyota would probably carry down the basic platform and some of the tech from the GT5000 to a new Supra IF Toyota actually does decide to build the GT. but I definately don't expect to see anything regarding a new Supra anytime soon. before I get mauled by village ppl calling fraud, I'm not saying I'm the all knowing OZ of Toyota, but I do work with our company product planners who get the first peak at anything new coming out of the very tight lipped Toyota Motor Corp. I would dare to speculate that Toyota definately will revive the Supra eventually, but its not at the top of their list of "Things to Do to be Top in Car Sales". If they do want to eventually surpass chevy as the top dog, they will definately have to have a vehicle in nearly every major segment of the market, which means good news for Supra hopefulls (such as myself). but don't hold your breath for anything before 2008 at very least....
