Default What is this BLACK DEAD WIEGHT in my Z?

In the rear passenger area by the spare tire, there are is a black box, that swingings. What is it's purpose, what would I lose if I moved it?

First of all, you're not supposed to put passengers back where the spare tire is, so it's technically not a "passenger area". (I'm just kidding of course)

Second, there is a really bad joke about a "swingin' black box" in all this somewhere, but I ain't diggin' for it! .

Seriously though, the only black, box like item in my trunk is the foam block used to hold the jack and lug-wrench in the right rear of the trunk Other than that, mine is pretty bare. Got a picture or more description?

I think that the flap you are talking about is to release excess air from the cabin which in turn decreases the effort needed to close your doors or the hatch.

the black cube (it's not hollow) is about 10 cm square. It's located on the passaneger side, most rear corner, right behind the white light in back. IT has no wire connected to it, and it swings when you corner. The only reason I see this is because I am taking out my spare tire to install my system.

Omer.
