Will get Yamaha FX Cruiser HO next month. Around 772lbs. Can my ZR town this watercraft? if yes, is anyone know where i can get the mod part to put in my Z in order to tow?
from the manual:
max total trailer load 1000 lb 454 kg
tongue load btw 9-11% (110lb)
i suggest not towing anything! ive gone up fairly steep sandy/leafy driveways and was slipping bad, i can only imagine what a boat ramp would do (wet/grimy). Also YOU CANNOT USE THE Z TO PUT THE JETSKI IN THE WATER! exhaust is too low, your z would follow the jet ski into the water. Must be done by hand or left at your dock for life.
hope this helped

Yep, If you're going Jet Skiing, you'll need to back your vehicle into the water which is a BIG NO NO especially if it's a car (more so for a lowered car)! Your car will definitely slide down with the trailer. I've seen people attempt to do it with cars before & it wasn't a pretty site. How often do you plan on going Jet Skiing? If it's only once in a while, I'd just suggest renting a truck/SUV. It'll make your life a lot easier. Or better yet, invite someone with a truck to go with you.
jet skis are light enough that you shouldnt need to back in that far; Id pull the parking brake; put it in 1st; put some blocks behind the wheels; and go ahead and pull that ski the rest of the way into the water. for putting it back on; give it some gas to ride it up the trailer and pull it on the rest of the way. this will all be easier if you spring for a roller type trailer rather than the astroturf slides.
no need to put the exhaust into the water; though the car will have no problem blowing bubbles; your in california; so Im guessing ocean water; and you dont want that on your car. so just keep it out of the water and push it the rest of the way.

what happens if you cross that point?
jet skis are light enough to hand wheel them in, maybe not out though
well if you really couldnt lift them up onto the trailer, nor ride them up onto it; just grab a winch that they ussually use for larger boats; and winch it up onto the trailer. pulling it out will be painful for the clutch; but not impossible as your not pulling THAT much weight.
thats not feasible... I mean to make good use of it Id hope for it to be used atleast once a week; probably twice some weeks. where do you even rent a truck with a hitch on it; Im not sure; but assuming you did find one somewhere; now your renting it for 1-2 days; at probably 40-50$ a day for that kind of vehicle. thats atleast 360$ a month; you could buy the truck. not to say you should or would be able to; thats just alot of money for renting a truck just to tow the jet ski.
for that matter; itd be cheaper to dock it at a marina.

better choice though not cheap either. around here its 80$ for 4 hours. plus side is no maintnence though. that can save a ton cause the 2stroke jetskis are money pits. 4strokes on the other hand.... ooo Id love one of them. turbo'd if possible please.

heheheh...just realize that i have Ing rear bumper and they are cover pretty everything in the back. Even if i want to mount the hitch, i will need to drill through the bumper. Alright, i'll wait until i get SUV and thinking about jetski again. *Sigh*

Or maybe buy a pickup for a few thousand bucks.
