hey guys i just got my windows tinted and i was wondering what you guys use to clean the inside of your windows. i hear that windex is not good for the tint.

 

Stoners invisible glass...safe on tint, but just to be sure find a small corner and try it there. I use it on my tint, it works wonders.

 

as long as it doesn't have ammonia it'll be alright

 

I've tried a bunch of different types - I find Stoners the best (and safe on tint).

 

Yeah, it think Ammonia's the killer for tint. I just use water with a hint of soap (ammonia free).

 

I just use water and wipe it off.

Yep, I stick with water or ammonia free spray cleaner. I just got mine tinted the other day. Lucky enough to find a shop that would do NICE tint jobs. It's Llumar tint, 15% all the way around and 50% on the entire front windshield. On my 2005 SB Touring, it looks f'n sweet. (legal limit in KY is 25% back, 35% front sides and only down to the AS1 line on the windshield. Lifetime warranty, including labor, anywhere in the USA. Very happy!

Do most of you guys tint your front windshield or leave it stock?

 

Stock front windshield for me. I think, at most, we can get a 6" strip of 35% at the top but why bother.
