Smile "Shifts real smooth for a front wheel drive...."

I have been test driving 350's for a while now, when I came across a nice 350Z at the Ford place. I had a guy, who proclaimed to be a 'car guy', who was going over the car with me. When we were going over the car, he told me and I quote, this car is good, 'shifts REAL smooth for a Front Wheel Drive.".

I drove the car, thanked him for his time, and moved on. You get all kinds sometimes, unbelievable. Granted, supernice guy, but hadn't done any research.

Anybody top that?

I have been in plenty of test drives where the sales man doesn't know the car well. A sale person just knows how to sell the car, not always about the car which is sad.

Who said?

People that can't teach Gym, sell cars.

I like to ask the salespeople about unusual things, like non-existent statistics. I've tried rear impact stats on the Z, 35mpn rear bumper impact, percentage of accidents caused by simultaneous rear tire failure, etc. One time I asked the sales guy how much weight the cupholders could take

when I was at the dealership looking at my current car the salesman didn't know how to open the trunk so I had to stand around and wait for him to get someone that knew. He had to call 2 people to just open the trunk LOL!

I pulled in the sales lot and told the salesman my door was broken (as I opened it). You should have seen his face

well that might make some sense if it was a Mazda with a rotary engine (although you can't physically "see" the rotors anyway), but give me a break...some guys don't even deserve to drive cars let alone attempt to mod them ... haha and the fact that he finished the sentence with "yo"

It ticks me off that the Honda stigma has somehow made most people think that all Japanese cars are front wheel drive. Once, I had a guy ask why my old 240sx had a rear spoiler when it was a front wheel drive car. I left two black smoking RWD streaks on the road to show him how wrong he was.

i think female salesppl are the worst. once i test drove an s2000...i asked her whats the torque on it. she said it has 240hp lol. then i continued to drive it and she said plz dont push it, the car cant handle that well in high rpm=/ she was pretty hot so i didnt reply back and make her feels like a blondie lol

After I purchased the Z, I visited the Honda dealer to show my saleswoman (I test drove a S2000 earlier...and she was not bad looking by the way) that I had decided on a Nissan and not a Honda.

She wanted a ride.

Well I don't subscribe to the "break it in first" method. I gave her the ride of her life.

Afterwards, she wanted more ! LOL
