Default Legality of Smoke Side Markers?

I'm thinking of putting some smoke side markers on my Z, but are they street legal? I have a SB Z, so it will flow nice with the color of the car, but the last thing I want in to be pulled over here in GA for smoke side markers. Any one have any info/advice/experience with putting these on their car & the legality of them?

What about tinting the amber strip in the headlight. Would that be "street" illegal?

Thanks!

I have them smoked on my SB, but I don't think it is legal. may depend on the state you live in. I haven't had a front plate on this car for 2 years and on another car I owned for 6 years, but I think I have been lucky since it is illegal in cali.

In texas the reflector must reflect light making the car visible from a certain distance. As long as it does this, (and the smoked reflectors do) I don't think you will have a problem

I had clear sidemarkers on my old Maxima...

I am about to order some clear front bumper sidemarkers with amber LEDs from Ares, planning on wiring them up to the turn signals.

I never got pulled over for them ... in any case I am pretty sure it's just a "fix-it" ticket...no points or anything. (I hope)
