Used to have a Z....and now I am SO MUCH happier with my brand new Evo. SO happy I made the switch over. I truly do miss the Z's interior look(not the quality), but it definately cannot compare to the platform for performance of the Evo.

 

Maybe you should post this on your new EVO board. We all know the upside and downsides of each. That version of the 4G63 is great now with variable valve timing. Enjoy.

Better bang for the buck? Now i agree.

 

Try making 500whp on your car and try it everyday. Not going to happen. Thats a PLATFORM for PERFORMANCE.

 

But 4 times a year you will be reminded about the Z when you get your copy of Sport Z.

 

i was thining of doing the same thing but the z is 10 times more sexy looking and has rwd, had a wrx, had awd and love the rwd more, gotta love gettin those tires spin out from under ya

 

 

There's, with out a doubt, up's and down's of both cars. Some may say the Z is better, some may say the Evo is better. I know I test drove an 04 when I was looking for a new car. Same dealer that I bought my Z from and I must say I was not all that impressed, especally since the Evo was tagged for 7K more, and had 2 extra doors. I can't stand 4-door. To me, I can put that 7K into a SC and some suspention and get 2x the performance you have. It's an age old arguement, but I didn't come to argue, just wanted to say nice car, I for sure like the Evo better than 80% of car's out there.

 

Evo is nice except for one thing, the HIDEOUS WING!

 

Faster or not, the Z is still more pimpish. End of story.

That's reliability you're talking about dumbass. Not platform for performance.

 

Because I used to not be all about performance, and mainly because my initial car(03 Evo) was very unhealthy and never was what I expected. I was always slower than all the other Evos and had little crappy problems with it. I got frusterated and sold it for the Z. I ran Nitrous on the Z and decided I wanted something that could exceed 400hp on stock internals to be driven daily. So I went back and got a healthy BRAND NEW evo.

 

Good luck with the mitsu, I wonder how long that one will stay "Healthy"
