Arrow 30k mile service - did you get it?

Did you guys get the 30k service at a dealer?
My dealer is saying its $360.

How much did you pay?
Did you get it at the dealer?
Is the 30k service just recommened? or essential?

My dealership told me it's going to be like $500 or $600, I can't remember which for sure. It seems really high to me, so I'm debating on whether or not to get it, or just skip it. Also, we need to change the LSD fluid at 30K also, right? The dealer wants to charge me another $130 to do that.

i got the 30k service, however the dealer didnt change the
manual transmission oil

I was pissed, $360 for a hyped up oil change??
So i complained and they offered to change it out for me
for free.

They kept saying it was supposed to be done at 60k, not 30k
After explaining to manager he hooked it up.

Dealer = overpriced for anything

Unless its a truthworthy dealer, I wouldn't go to a dealer period. Had my share of bad experiences.

I'd just do most of it myself. As much as possible.

Did you ask what was done at the 30k service?

When I had my maxima, here's what I researched a 30k service is (for ~$380)

Check belts, driveline, etc etc
check all fluid levels
change oil
listen to valves

Listen? Yeah, that's it. They "check" things over...they don't adjust jack unless they find something wrong. So, if I were you, I'd listen to your own valves, check the tension on your own belts, and while you're at it, change your own oil and save ~$300.

The dealer offered me mine for a really cheap price, like 199 so I did it at 27k. Right before the Turbo kit.

You have to watch these dealerships. They will try to sell you a $350 to $500 "30k service package" that is a bunch of crap you don't need. Just read the fine print and it will say "* these item are not reqired to maintain warranty". Just ask them what IS required at 30K then they will tell you and is usually a lot less then what they are trying to sell you. At 30K, a 2003 350Z Base MT you are only required to change engine oil and oil filter, air filter, manual transmission fluid and differential fluid.

I'm almost at 30,000 and don't plan on getting this done. Costs too much to do every 8 or 9 months. I average well over 30,000 miles each year for driving.

Dealerships rape you blind. Everyone should know that. The shop guys expect damn near everyone that brings their car to a dealership shop does not know the difference between a clutch and their ***. If anything, just do the basic stuff to maintain warranty.
