For you guys who have the Z as your daily drivers and only car, how much do you spend on gas each month on average?

$20 a week in gas gets me to and from work all week in my truck, just barely.

My gas millage on my truck and how much it costs me to fill it up is close to the Z's.

I plan to drive my Z a ton in the first 6 months and could easily go thru 2 tanks of gas on the weekends, which would be about $80 a week, plus the $20 for comutting which all together is about $400 a month.

This could easily put me in the poor house.

I guess I could force myself not to use no more than 1 tank of gas on a weekends, which would save me $160 a month but then I wouldn't get to drive as much as I like but on the other hand this phase would probably only last me about 6 months then I would chill out a bit and drive it less.

wow, that's like 650miles in the city... isn't that a little too much on the weekend drive? I'm assuming you're not driving long distance all the time.

 

Yes that is a lot. It would just be until I get the Joy of owning the new Z out of my system after a few months, then it would be more like 1 tank on the weekends. In winter it would not be that much drivimg, one tank at the most or more like half a tank, unless I go out of town. The 2 tanks a weekend would be during nice weather and only the first few months.

The Z is going to be replacing my old toy (Yamaha R1) and my current truck, so the Z will have double duty.

 

And by double duty I don't mean hauling bails of hay in the Z, I mean daily driver and speed toy:-P

 

I spend about $40 a week on gas, so that comes out to be around $160 a month. It's my daily driver. I drive it to work on the weekdays and take it out on the weekends. If I drive hard throughout the week, I might have to fill it up an extra time within the month, so that would make it $200 a month spent on gas.

 

I'm actually spending over $500 a month in gas for my Z. I've had it 62 days so far and put just over 9000 miles.
