Default can anyone confirm 2004 info??

Another forum post states that the 2004 Z will have a sunroof, rear window antenna and more HP - - is this true or is it more likely somebody talking out of their butt?? Thanks

Maybe I shouldn't have said confirm - - any of you dealers heard any of this??If it's true are the dealers worried that some of us that haven't recieved our cars yet may back out and wait for 2004??

I could see that they might have some running changes. The G35 had some things changed - the rear - for a 2003.5 model. I'm not sure a sunroof OR more horsepower will be on the way. I could see them moving to a in-window antenna - not too much overhead in changing the rear fender mold/press.

Horsepower probably won't be bumped until the Supra is out. If you follow the current Nissan trends the horsepower gets bumped whenever a major competitor comes out with similar HP. Example: Altima - 240hp ----> New Accord - 240hp -----> Altima - 245hp. =)

I just don't see a sunroof working on the Z. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but would probably be a targa or ttops over anything else. But... well.... Nissan could work on it.

I doubt that there will be a rear window antenna anytime soon. The main reason why: The rear wiper.

My friend has an older range rover where the antenna is printed glass in the front windshield. He had a mast antenna installed because whenever the wipers were on the radio reception would fade with their movement. The motion of the wiper going across the window was enough to mess with the radio reception. Odds are this is why the antenna was not printed into the rear glass on the z.

I could be wrong...but it makes sense to me.

Maybe thats why the GT-R will be an Infiniti. Nissan/Infiniti is an interesting little bond, as Nissan is still searching for its brand identity and infiniti just needs to sell some cars. Nissan really needs an arm twisting to make a car thats deliberatly less appealing performance/design wise than an Infiniti....so if the GT-R comes as an Infiniti, its VERY liekyl that they will have TT Z.

Nissan might just do what i did with the antenna....get a smaller one. It make a world of difference.

Interesting about the rear window antenna... It makes sense that having the wiper blade running over the window would cause distortion.

I still don't understand why nissan would make a 45k 350Z TT if the GTR is coming to out shores(granted it will probably be 50-60k) b/c it has a GREAT chance of cutting into sales somewhere. Just doesn't look like they're going that route.

Old news. Search for the R35.

I still would doubt that nissan will release the r35 as a infinity. BTW the G35 is a skyline release under the infinity mark. But Nissan has already said r35 will be hitting world market under their name.

Are you sure it will be a Nissan. Not doubting you one bit but it seems much more practical to realease it as an Infiniti as much as it may **** of the purists. having the 400hp GT-r and a TT Z if Jays correct) in the same dealer lot wouldn't make much sense. I understand the GT-R will be more limited and hav better handling/driving charactereistic, but still....

So you are saying that in 2 years people will be driving a tt 350z making 350 or so hp? 36,000? Seeing that the track costs say, 34,000 that gives nissan 2k to play with. Now I know that since nissan is a OEM so they can get/sell turbos and plumbing for a considerbale amount less the aftermarket would, but this seems like a little amount of money to add a TT. Maybe 38,000+. Thats just my opinion, and I'm not the one with a few spies in Nissan.

This pisses me off though. And I am sure it pisses some other people off too. I hate how modern car companies come out with the weakest version of the car first and then give the more powerful version later (read: BMW). Ugh.
