Read my mod list. I have not been overly "careful" driving and certainly not modding.

I'll admit that if I drove slower I wouldn't have had window streaks.

If a few people had these TSBs than maybe I'd agree with you. But that is not the case so I don't.

Twotonetrack ,

I hear you , but knowing some of the beater types out there ,which will show up with any car , I don't fully agree . I've had mine for three years now , no grinding in the gears , no clutch probs , no clicking in the rear end , no brake probs etc .I do agree with you in the sense that this should not occur in a sportscar , even if you are a beater .But I do feel that being a beater may be a slight " part of the problem " . Just my two cents .....

I bought my pre order in february '02 and took delivery in October '02. Driving a Z in the early days was a blast because they are beautiful, and were rare. Thanks to this site I learned about all the early Z problems and had all the usual '03 model year fixes (Bose stereo, power windows, feathering, etc. Nissan and my local dealer have been great about fixing everything. I love this car and the minor inconvenience of the occasional fix compared to how much fun it is to drive definitely is worth it to me. My lease is up in January and I have been looking for a repalcement car for 6 months. In my humble opinion, there is nothing out there that comes close to the Z for under $100,000. I plan on keeping mine until the Nissan designers top themselves and come out with another new Z which I will gladly pre-order.
