Default MY tranny bottomed out?

SO im driving through a parking lot at normal parking lot speeds and slowing down for the bumps. I go over one and suddenly I bottom out as I hear a little grinding and my hand which was on the shifter jerks a little as if the whole tranny moved.

What the hell happened?
I have stock suspension, wheels, OEM size tires...

I drove over this particular bump 100's of times before and nothing happened?

Should I be concerned or was it just a freak occurrence.

heh.. was just a joke. My only guess is that you went faster this time on the speed bump than the other times so it bottomed out after bouncing. Otherwise I don't honestly know how you're car will suddenly be lower.

I've had that happen a few times before, you think anything might have been damaged?

Were you going really slow while in gear? If so, it may have been the car starting to stall out.

I looked underneath and ovibiously it wasn't the tranny as the y-pipe would take the brunt, just felt that way cause of the brace on the cats proably. didn't notice any damage. its night however Ill check tomorrow when the sun is out.

So that's the Z's grinding problem that everybody talks about in here and this whole time I thought it was a mechanical grinding problem:-P
