Doesn't a ticket target a specific driver and NOT a vehicle? How can they prove that it was YOU and not someone else driving the vehicle?

they said if my car was stolen, i needed to provide a police report to prove it wasn't me, they didn't have any specification of "what if it was somebody else"
oh well

nice lip on your rims from what I see. No seriously...you were like NOSing or something. Look at the blue Vette and the road lines. He barely moved half a meter or a couple feet. I'm surprised that the camera focussed onto your plate.

One point twenty one gigawatts!! Take it easy on that flux capacitor you have installed.

haha, nice day for a candid camera moment! But the quality of those pics is so bad.. I wonder how they can still read your license plates.

The red left arrow is such ******** anyway. I can't believe they gave you a ticket for that.

Anyone ever heard Adam Carolla's rants on the radio about how bogus the red left-hand turn arrow is? He makes a good argument

Btw, I wonder how they made out your plate from that picture...

im bored of work so i decided to completely over analyze the pictures. and it seems to me that the other cars probably seem to be moving much slower relative to you because they probably are barely at more than a crawl. it is likely that the light for them to turn turned red at the same time as your light, but the people rushed into the intersection and got stuck behind backed up traffic turning onto that road. if you look in the second picture, you can see the light to go straight turned green, so the light for those cars to turn had to have turned red.

They have to prove that it was you. No pic of you. You could just say that you normally leave your keys on your desk at work. Someone must have taken your car for a joyride while you were in a meeting (that gets you out of the need to ID the driver). Find a coworker who will be willing to "collaborate" your story (Yes Judge, he was in a meeting with me at the time of this ticket.)

Fight the ticket - always fight. Paying the ticket is your admission of guilt.

There are also an arguement that you have to be able to confront your accusor in any legal battle. In this case, its a computerized system - which at its essence means you cannot confront it - therefore the ticket itself is illegal.

Many states have this on the books, but they issue these tickets anyways, even though they are illegal, because most people roll over and pay.

Fight fight fight - its the only way to keep big brother out of our business.

If just 3% of all tickets written would fight them, it would clog the legal system and bring this type of ticketing to a halt.

Bottom line is. If a person gets caught with the camera, it's there in black and white. Pay the fine and get it over with. IMO it's wrong to try and weasel out of a ticket on some technicality like, "How do you know I was driving? My sister-n-law was staying at my house and she took off in my car." We should all be responsible adults and keep track of where our vehicles are, and who we let drive them. I personally would never let someone drive my Z. Especially if I knew they would be doing crazy things like running through lights.........O.J. did it. He's guilty as sin, but gets off on some technicality because he had a crafty lawyer that knew how to exploit every possible thing in his arsenal. Just my 2 cents.

Or just spray your license plate with the Invisiblock paint...

Valentino - that type of thinking is why we have things like the Patriot Act. By not fighting invasive camera spying and ticketing, you are essentially giving away your rights.

Not to diverge too far, but do you REALLY want this country to be like Europe? With cameras everywhere in the name of "security and safety?" No many americans want the illusion of security, that they will give up their basic rights for it.

That "security and safety" that the UK has sure didn't do anything to stop those bombings . . . but the people have opened pandora's box - allowing the government to snoop on their every action. They'll never close that box back up.

These traffic cameras are the start of a VERY slippery slope.

Ivisi-block paint was exposed as a fraud on 60 minutes.
