What he said....I've driven the Blizzak LM-22's through two New England winters with no problems to speak of. Get some good snow tires, don't drive like an idiot, and you'll be okay.

I wouldn't even trust all seasons in snow. I would get the blizzaks and you will be just fine.

Man, I'd love to live in Cali. I store mine at the first hint of snow, the thought of salt on my car makes me cringe. Get a comfortable daily driver or a winter beater. Mmmm...Cali.

When you say the "stock tires"..Do you mean the Potenzas or all stock Z tires? I've read that the Potenzas really suck. So I ran and checked my Z and it has Michelins on there. Are those any better? Or should I swap them out before it starts to rain?

When people say "stock tires," they mean Bridgestone Potenza RE040...the OEM tires that come with the car when it's new. As for whether or not the Michelins are better, that's kinds hard to say based on brand name alone. What specific model of Michelins are they?

I've driven on the stock tires in a flurry once. I got Blizzak's soon after and I survived the winter.
