Bent rod, damaged cylinder, crooked mechanic, police involvement, calls to my CC company.... man, all from a stupid CAI. I've DEFINITELY learned my lessons from not using aftermarket CAIs to seeking mechanics certified by the BAR...

That hydrolocked car is now my daily beater...

I hope yours is just electrical, like everybody else said here...

Well i just tried again, and nothing.. So i dunno, my uncle is gonna look at it around 3-4. And if he cannot see anything then gonna take it to Nissan. But what he told me to look at was the oil level, to see if it was any higher becuase maybe some water did get in there. And it was much higher, but i did just get an oil change from Nissan dealership so i dont know if they were just retarded and added too much, or there is water in my engine/oil.

Does the ignition even attempt to engage, or does it not even register when you turn the key?

I also agree it seems like an electrical problem. Have you tested the battery with a multi meter to get a reading? Maybe your alternator (cant remember where its located) caught some water.

I had read a few Maximas that got hydrolocked, they had a CAI and went thru a very large (what seems like) small river. Sad way to see a VQ35 go.

The pulling plugs cables etc, and cranking is the best way to try to pump out the water from in the egnigne as well as, leaving out in the open to dry.

What do you mean? You saw it in the vid, thats all it does.

Oh and my battery is showing about 11-12 on the gauge in my car.

If the car turn over and not start, first thing I would do is to check for spark.
Buy a spark tester from AutoZone and check to see if you get spark to the #1 spark plug.

When you guys say turn over, you mean it tries to start but does not correct? Like my video? If so then yes that is what it is doing. Someone else suggested takeing off the spark plugs turning it over and see if any water comes out. I will do that when i go back there today.

Sorry to hear about your issue man. Odds are it's not hydrolocked. It's quite difficult to hydrolock a lot of the new engines. Manufacturers design the engines and intakes to prevent such a situation.

On a side note...that was one hell of a storm eh? I just got my Z yesterday, but I had my 2000 Tacoma thats lifted 5" the day of the storm....I could just plow through huge puddles with that thing. I was fording rivers Tuesday night...LOL! Won't be able to do that with the Z.

That was one wicked storm man!! My poor car barely made through all those flooded streets. I couldn't even get to my parking spot in my complex, there was like three feet of water pooled up all over the lot...good luck with the car.

Just saw it, doesn't sound like a hydrolock situation (based upon my experience). My car would crank like in the movies... where the car wouldn't start but the person would try in vain to start it. Mine finally started only after much persistence and the engine had the worst rattling, machine gun-type noise I'd ever heard from a car...

that totally sucks! But yah, from the video it REALLY sounds like it's an electrical issue, man! If you need money to help on repairs, I'll be sending it to you on August 5th, tomorrow, remember? hehe

cloudy, after watching your video and listening to it, your starter is solenoid is engaging but your engine does not turn over. If you want to confirm the car is hydrolocked all you need to do is turn the crank shaft over manually. More than likely you have bent a rod and its hitting the internal wall of the block not allowing the engine to spin over.
Sorry but it is not electrical.

I would never leave my car at the side of the road, flat bed it home or to the dealer. And for the second time, check your MAF sensor.

Bro why dont you just take it to the dealer, they might be able to solve or determine the problem in no time (if you have a CAI remove it before taking your car to the dealer). Also they should cover the tow truck trip...
