Some insurance agencies have been known for checking online for anything like this, if i was going to make a claim, i wanted to make sure i covered my tail.

Cloudy, good to hear your car is running again. I just read through everything and got a good laugh from all the battery and starter guesses. My wife hydrolocked our Jeep by driving it (rather jumping it) into a 4.5' water hole, and it shut down like your situation. I got a drag home by a buddy and removed the spark plugs like you did, dried the plugs off, then tunred it over a few dozen times, shooting water some 40' away onto my neighbor's car. I still had to siphon a bit of water out of the intake manifold, but afterward it fired right up, and still runs like a champ today. I would advise getting your oil changed, and if you think the water might have gotten high enough to cover the bottom of the tranny, get its fluid changed as well, but if you were only in it for a few minutes, you might be okay on the tranny fluid. Hope it goes well.

Hey cloudy - thanks for convincing a few of us not to get a CAI

glad to hear your car is okay... you can't let a little puddle take you to the cleaners.
